"I'm busy. I do Yahoo training, I answer tech support for Yahoo stores, I do tech support for FeedPerfect and I have direct work with clients. I'm busy!"
Support Engineer is the third title for Jenn Sliwinski since she's been at Solid Cactus, but she's not complaining. It gives her the chance to learn more. "I've done tech support and Cactus Commerce Complete," says Jenn. "I've done tech support for FeedPerfect. I want to learn every product we have." Before her current title Jenn was a Training and Support Specialist. Jenn is also involved with leading Solid Cactus webinars where many clients come together on line for training and tech review of new features and processes offered by Solid Cactus.
Jenn took the indirect route to Solid Cactus and to her job of teaching new web site owners how to handle their new Yahoo! Stores. "I was at College Misericordia," Jenn recalls. "I started out in Elementary Education because I always loved teaching. But I took one tech course in college and everything changed. I found I liked computers better and switched my major right away." Jenn specialized in the New Media, and did a stint working for the Scranton Times as an internet graphic artist. Then she found Solid Cactus, sort of. "I actually worked for the parent company to Solid Cactus, TheFerretstore.com while I was still in college, so I was familiar with Solid Cactus and some of the people."
So far, so good. "I love Solid Cactus," says Jenn. "I love the attitude here. Everyone is here to help you succeed. That's what Solid Cactus wants for its clients and its people. Solid Cactus wants success. There's lots of information to learn, but here they take what you know and build on it. This is a great company. And Solid Cactus is growing so fast it's very exciting to be here. As we continue to grow we'll bring out new products. I want to be there. Maybe someday I'll be managing a team of my own."
