Sean Handwerk
Web Developer
"What I really enjoy is seeing my work go live. I like seeing my efforts work for our clients. That gives me a sense of accomplishment."
Sean Handwerk is an RTML Developer for Solid Cactus. His job is to program Yahoo! Store solutions for clients. His work includes store design, custom programming and blogs.
Sean has been into computers since, well, the beginning. "My father gave me a Commodore 64 when I was about five or six," Sean recalls. "The rest is history." That ‘history' included learning web design as a hobby in junior high school. Sean knew then what he wanted to do-computers. He followed up with a degree in Information Science and Technology. After college Sean was a programmer for DA technology in Allentown, PA.
He found Solid Cactus the new-fashioned way, through a Monster introduction. "I was contacted through Monster.com," Sean says. "We scheduled an interview and a week later I had the job."
Sean likes the Solid Cactus feel. "I like the relaxed, friendly environment and the people," he says. "I don't wake up in the morning dreading work. Plus, I can ask anyone for help anytime. That's a good feeling to have."
Looking ahead, Sean Handwerk likes his work and he knows programming is evolving every day. He says, "I'd like to keep growing in my field and learning new things."
