Brian Ross is a member of the Solid Cactus Product Develpment team. He's programmed hundreds of stores, but his job has evolved to the point where he largely concentrates on special circumstances. "I handle anything out of the ordinary," says Brian. "I help other programmers and I provide lots of training and guidance for our new people. But if it's a big project like a partnership with another company, those projects come to me. It's my job to smooth out the relationship so they'll sign up with Solid Cactus.
When Brian came aboard with Solid Cactus he quickly learned the intricacies of Yahoo! Store language. It added to his knowledge of web related stuff like HTML, Java Script, ASP, XHTML and RTML. Brian is also certified in hardware and a PC technician.
The challenge these days for Brian is making sure the sophisticated Solid Cactus projects and partnerships work for all concerned. He says, "For me there's nothing better than bringing concepts to life. I make things work."
Brian also likes his life at work. "Solid Cactus is easy. People are laid-back. They're not standoffish or petty. I've been in circumstances where there was endless backbiting and gossip and problems. Not here. These people are easy to be around."
Brian says simply. "I love what I do." It is the secret to happiness.
