Comparison Engines Shine the Light on More Products

Bruce Jones of Lighting and Locks is all about going above and beyond with customer service. So it should come as no surprise that he gets the same level of customer attention in his CSE services from Solid Cactus, in turn bringing in more sales and customers in need of quality care.

[Our CSE specialist] is very attentive and gets to the bottom of things very fast... We're selling a broader range of products than we were.

With a successful run in retail business for 15 years, Bruce Jones' decision to open his first eCommerce store for Lighting and Locks was a wise one. He originally considered opening additional retail stores but instead chose the opportunities eCommerce presented. Breaching into eCommerce just a year ago, Lighting and Locks started with Solid Cactus' comparison shopping engine services (CSE) soon after. Jones says within a month he began to see increased sales.

Two months prior to joining Solid Cactus, Lighting and Locks had less than $10,000 in average monthly revenue from CSE's. When Solid Cactus took over the store's account, revenue jumped to more than $15,000 in one month. Over the next four months, Lighting and Locks continued to outperform the previous month with revenue increasing over 150%.

Jones says he's also seen a great increase in return on ad spend (ROAS) which was between 600% and 800%. After coming under Solid Cactus management ROAS grew from 800% to 1,400%.

Jones says the amount of attention his CSE specialist pays to his account is very obvious in the research done and response time.

"[Our CSE specialist] is very attentive and gets to the bottom of things very fast," said Jones. He says his CSE specialist is always on hand to help out with any concerns.

"We email her and in an hour you get a response."

Since beginning with the CSE's, Bruce has seen more attention drawn to previously undersold products like household items.

"We're selling a broader range of products than we were," Jones explained.

CSE's give more exposure to all 46,500 of
his products as well as his site. Before starting, LightingandLocks.com averaged around 500 clicks per month; now it averages 9,000 clicks.

Jones said having an eCommerce design by Solid Cactus has also saved him time, letting him focus more on customer care than store aesthetics. He said he plans to expand the current site and possibly open up more sites within the next year.
