Know and Trust Your Developer – Make Sure Your Developer Doesn’t Outsource
When you choose to work with a web design company, or a computer programming company, it is important to make sure that they DO NOT outsource the programming or design of your website or software to offshore companies. Offshore companies are otherwise known as “Sending work to Russia, China, India, etc.”. Just because the company you are contracting to do your website with is located in America, does not mean that they are NOT sending your website overseas to be programmed or designed. We do not outsource ANY web design, development, or programming, even within the United States.
These are some of the reasons why outsourcing your development (or choosing to work with American companies that outsource) is so dangerous.
If you are not protecting your Intellectual Property, the dangers of outsourcing are multiplied. There is nothing to stop foreign developers from reselling the work that was done for you to someone else in their own country, or another country. The laws of America alone will not protect you.
