The tool, Snap Shop, designed by Solid Cactus, Inc. reduces the number of page views and page load times which often frustrate shoppers in their quest to find the right product at the right price as quickly as possible. Frank Quinlisk, Media Supply Vice President, further described the feature, "As users mouse over a product image, Snap Shop invites shoppers to take a closer look at each product by clicking on the item. But rather than take the user on a side trip to the item page, a new, smaller window appears containing detailed product information, price, and an "add to cart" button." he said.
With Snap Shop, "consumers access the click-to-enlarge, product details, pricing, available options and the add-to-cart button all in one spot. To top it off, multiple windows can be opened at one time, allowing for side-by-side comparison," says Donna Talarico, staff writer at eBiz Insider Magazine.
The Snap Shop feature is expected to increase internet sales by 10% over the course of 2008 for the privately held company.
