"I feel I'm a big part of our clients' success. After all, I helped them design their stores."

Adam Sieminski is a team leader at Solid Cactus; he's the guy who makes sure the clients get the site they wanted, with features that are right for them. "We're project managers," says Adam. "We're the liaison between the client and the design and programming teams. At the same time, we try to make sure the clients make the right choices. It takes a real understanding of e-commerce—what works on the internet and how to sell it." Adam also likes the team aspect. "We're all committed to the same goals. We all want every single client to have the best-looking best-functioning website possible. We throw lots of energy at our work."

Adam has an MBA and comes from long stints in corporate America in IT management with Sallie Mae and in operations at UGI, the utilities company. At Sallie Mae he managed a staff of 60 responsible for millions of payments billions of dollars in deposits. He's led computer system upgrades and consolidated operations, but he knew e-commerce was new. "When I got to Solid Cactus I had extensive computer experience but no e-commerce background," he recalls. "So I worked in several different departments. It's helped me better understand the products, how they work and which ones can best help different businesses." Adam also likes how Solid Cactus clients stay in touch. "They'll call after two years about their site, remind me that I worked on it and ask if I help them improve it. I love that!"

Adam made the switch from large, deliberate corporations to the younger dynamic at Solid Cactus. He likes the change. "Larger corporations are very structured," he says with the voice of experience. "They have rules and they expect you to follow those rules. Here you're actually encouraged to think! Your good ideas are pushed to the top quickly. At other companies it takes forever for a good idea to go anywhere.

Going forward, Adam Sieminski knows what he wants; he wants Solid Cactus. "I want to be a big part of this company's success. This company is growing so fast and has so much potential. From the first day I knew Solid Cactus was right."
