Welcome to the World of Solid Cactus
Before shopping from home was heard of, Scott Sanfilippo and Joe Palko took a chance and opened one of the first online stores to hit the web. Aspiring to sell supplies for pet ferrets, the two e-commerce pioneers released TheFerretStore.com in 1994, while storing inventory in an apartment closet.
While TheFerretStore.com continued to grow, the company launched additional pet supply websites, and formed an advertising and design firm called Solid Cactus. In 2007, Scott and Joe sold their unique selection of pet supply stores to Drs. Foster and Smith© the largest pet supply catalog in the country. Solid Cactus, however, stayed in their control where it grew to become the revolutionary e-commerce solution provider it is today.
