• Design Internships

Upon completing an Internship at Solid Cactus, students will have a full understanding of e-commerce web site design, navigation of the web, usability and layout best practices. Our designers understand the tools needed and the skills used to build industry leading web sites. Interns will gain real world professional experience in a fast growing e-commerce company. Tasks will include designing features implemented on yahoo stores, banner designs, and homepage, section, item and cart page mock-ups, along with logo design. Candidates for a design Internship must have an eye for concept driven design and must be able to communicate well (written and visually!). Technical proficiency in Photoshop, Typography, Design Grids/Layout and an understanding of the web is essential. A background in interactive design, Flash, Adobe Illustrator is a plus.
