It explains any changes on the pages of your store to give customers a more pleasant and less confusing shopping experience.

Quite often a search engine will index certain product pages of your store that may be discontinued. People who find these search results or who may have the page book marked may try to return to this page. By default your store will automatically redirect them to the homepage, this can be confusing. If there is no message of explanation customers can be left wondering. This wastes time and detracts from the shopping (and buying!) experience.

The Custom 404 Page from Solid Cactus allows you to display a message explaining that the page they were attempting to access no long exists, and why. We will also put a search box right under this message which they can use to find a similar item, or they may use your normal navigation to continue shopping.
